Yes it is that time again as Scott and I head out on our "sort of" annual pilgrimage to sample BBQ meats around central Texas. This year we rented a fancy Lincoln with push button transmission and, as always seems to happen, it ended up being BBQ sauce burgandy. We rolled out of DFW around 12:45 pm on 8/18/13 headed for Llano. We decided instead of rolling down I-35 to take the leisurely stroll down US 281 through the many small towns west of the big Interstate. We had found some good joints along that highway before and had hopes of discovering more. We were not disappointed.
